Agenda / Comments:

We are 2 weeks in. And I saw that there will be a 2nd season of the show already in 2015. I knew I wasn’t the only one watching it.

This week was basically Dr. Logan’s episode. She said intimacy is not just about sex but there is an emotional type along with the willingness to be vulnerable. Emotional intimacy is not going to come easy for the couples since they just met. All the couples had sexology sessions with Dr. Logan together and separately. At the end of the sessions, she left them a fishbowl filled with questions for them to ask each other to better communicate. The couples were also given their wedding photos.

The Couples:

Jamie & Doug

The experts say Jamie’s life has been difficult so she has problems opening up. Now, Jamie has gotten over the shock of being married to a stranger and she sees the attractiveness of Doug. Still no sexual activity though. Doug said she has a wall up and Jamie says she doesn’t want to have a wall up but she does. They meet up with Doug’s siblings. Jamie won’t make it to Easter because of work. I’m sure they will make that a thing.

  • Sexology Session

Jamie says their intimacy has grown, but she is not 100% comfortable yet. She doesn’t even change clothes in front of him. He is very attracted to her but he doesn’t want to rush her. Dr. Logan hopes Jamie give Doug a chance and stop being so guarded.

3 things they like about each other:

Doug about Jamie: Honest, Aura, Sincerity/Genuineness

Jamie about Doug: Personality, Genuineness/Caring, Cute/Body

  • Fishbowl Questions / Wedding Photos

Jamie feels bad while looking at the photos. She is still afraid of getting hurt. Jamie set up a romantic type setting for them to do the fishbowl homework.

1. What was the most unusual thing you were asked to do in bed?

Umm, is the answer to that question from Jamie. Doug said something about a girl wanted him to claw at her back to the point of bleeding.

2. Are you opposed to anything edible in bed?
He said he is. She laughed at him.

3. Act out your first kiss.
They did theirs.

They learned a ballroom dance to go with the song she wrote for their wedding. Jamie actually said, in the interview, that she can be with him for the rest of her life.

Cortney & Jason

Spiritual advisor Greg Epstein said they are getting along but they haven’t discussed any of the important issues yet. The Experts say the reality of marriage is hitting Cortney and Jason still isn’t opening up emotionally.

Cortney meets with her friend. She feels like they need to take things slow. She has questions about their future but she doesn’t want to push Jason.

  • Sexology Session

Cortney would like them to discuss things more especially about the bigger issues. Also, it would be nice if they could have the same schedule so they can see each other more. Jason was uncomfortable talking about their sexual compatibility. Dr. Logan feels they are both being private about that issue.

Cortney is concerned about being parents and when to start talking to Jason about it. Jason is concerned that they just met and talk about children is not appropriate at this point. He’s knows they just me so they can’t do what normal married couples do. Plus, they are not financially ready to have children. Both feel that over time they can start to discuss things more openly.

3 things they like about each other:

Cortney about Jason: The way he treats his mother because that is how a man will treat his wife, His drive, Attractiveness

Jason about Cortney: Accomplishes goals, Caring/Giving, Sex appeal

  • Fishbowl Questions / Wedding Photos

Cortney thinks anyone looking at their photos wouldn’t know they just met. But they still don’t know much about the important things like family, religion, etc.

1. What has been the best decision you have ever made?
He said this project because it was really big and things have gone so well. She agrees, but she had to.

Jason took Cortney to Coney Island because it is big part of his life/childhood. They had some Nathan’s hot dogs. Those are the best. She is happy for him to share with her.

Monet & Vaughn

Monet and Vaughn are fine fighting all day but they still have sex like nothing happened. The Experts are concerned about their anger and inability to solve problems. They need to find a way to work together.

  • Sexology Session

Monet feels physical stuff was easy but emotional they have yet to connect. To her they are separate things but when she is in love they become the same. They are not in love. Vaughn felt uncomfortable during the honeymoon, and he is upset she thinks he is not stable enough to trust. Vaughn said what he likes most about Monet was that she is her bubbly genuine personality. Which is what he said annoyed him the most a couple weeks ago. Monet wants him not to go in his shell so easily and be more positive. He excused himself to get water. Monet is not amused. She wants time to learn to trust him and needs to work on her delivery when discussing things. He said she should just say what she means. Monet’s most memorable moment is when he held her hand while she peed between 2 cars the night before. Gross.

  • Fishbowl Questions / Wedding Photos

They both seem to like the photos. Vaughn can see the factors that made the experts put them together.

1. What is the sexiest thing a couple can do together?
He said shower; she said making love.

2. If tomorrow was the end of the world, how would you want to spend today?
He said they can go to Atlantic City or Las Vegas and max out the credit cards.

Monet feels that they are both doing better after the session with Dr. Logan. Until… His job is a lot of travel so he goes to NJ and comes home to be with his wife. She has her friends coming over. He is not happy about it after being gone for a few days. Honestly, that is rude on her part. Why would he want his first night home to be spent with strangers? They are arguing again. You know they couldn’t end the episode without a Monet-Vaughn fight. It would be odd. Vaughn said he made lots of changes for this. He moved in with a woman who can’t cook with an annoying dog and he has minimal space for his possessions. That was so funny. The gloves are off today. He said that in the interview not to her.
